Vintage Suitcase Redo
This is the second suitcase that I have done like this and it's so much fun. This wasn't vintage fabric but I did tea stain and wash and iron it to get an aged appearance. I went by the tutorial at A Beautiful Mess. I tried to cut my fabric as close as possible to the correct size so I didn't have a ton of fabric to tuck in the stitched edge. I used a butter knife and it worked well. I let the final mod podge layer dry overnight before I used it and it holds up great. I will never pass up another one of these suitcases. This was actually part of a 3 piece set that belonged to my husband grandmother. So it's nice to give new life to a family piece. Comment or email me if you have any questions.
