Sprucing up the patio

One of the things on my summer check list was sprucing up my patio. I scored these cute vintage reproduction chairs from lowe's for $20 bucks a piece.
I love the look of these bird bath's stacked together and my favorite flowers in them- moss roses. They aren't supposed to be perennials but they came again this year.

And my favorite is this wire table that I scored at the thrift store for $2 bucks.

Topped with an enamel pot that my grandma gave me filled with these lovely beauties.
I have to admit, that it's no ordinary wire table. It's actually a tennis ball pick up basket. I say why not! Take a second look at those thrift store items and see if they can be repurposed for something else. Have you scored anything good at the thrift store lately?

Decorating for Fall

I'm so into decorating for fall.  My woodland creatures are coming out their boxes to make our home sweet and cozy. I've been keeping my eyes peeled at the thrift store to find more little lost souls to bring home with me. Have I said that fall is my favorite time of year?
It won't be my last time saying it. You've been warned.

Embroidered Love Bird Pillowcases

This pillowcase was so fun to do. I love the way it came out. I'm in the process of making another one to have a matching set. It was one of those patterns you get in the craft store. So it's an easy print to find. I love embroidering pillowcases. It remind me of the ones I got of my grandmothers when she died. They are one of the things I cherish from her. Someday someone will get mine and I hope they will cherish them too. Have a great weekend everyone!
